Bolted Flat Panel Steel Tanks

Bolted tanks are economical solutions to store large volumes up to 5M gallon tanks.  Our Epoxy coated carbon steel bolted tanks offer the least expensive lifetime solution.  Our flat panel design provides a smooth interior wall surface preventing seam leaks.  The thermal fused coating ensures long lasting corrosion resistance. Tanks are field-erected, which minimizes shipping and allows for large volumes.

Looking to store over 150,000 gallons of water or wastewater? A Bolted Steel Tanks are durable options for many liquids including water and wastewater and can be field-erected to hold millions of gallons, making them a preferred choice for wastewater treatment sites.

Bolted Flat Panel Steel tanks offer:

  • Rapid, modular assembly — minimal heavy lifting and onsite welding reduces installation time and cost.

  • Flexible sizing and configuration — easily scaled or reconfigured to fit site constraints.

  • Accessible maintenance — panels can be replaced or serviced individually.

  • Cost advantages — efficient transport and assembly lower total installed costs versus welded systems.

Ideal for municipalities, process water storage, fire protection reserves, and irrigation systems where adaptability and lifecycle value are priorities.

Industries Served/Applications: Water and Wastewater, Fire Protection NFPA 22 approvable, Potable Water AWWA and NSF 61 approvable, Oil and Gas.

Stainless Steel Tanks

PPE provides smaller Stainless-steel shop tanks to large Stainless-Steel Flat Panel Large Bolted tanks or Large Ground Storage welded tanks holding volumes up to 5M gallons in 304 or 316 stainless options.  Stainless steel tanks do not require coatings, and are long lasting, durable, maintenance free options.

When purity, corrosion resistance, and regulatory compliance are essential, stainless steel tanks are the premium choice. Engineered from high-alloy 304 or 316 steel they provide:

  • Superior corrosion resistance — ideal for aggressive chemicals, acids, saline environments, and food-grade liquids.

  • Hygienic construction — non-reactive surfaces that meet stringent sanitary standards for beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical storage.

  • Temperature resilience — suitable for cryogenic, high-temp, or thermal cycling environments.

  • Low maintenance — smooth, cleanable surfaces reduce fouling and contamination risk.

Stainless steel tanks are specified where product quality, cleanliness, and lifespan justify the investment — from specialty chemicals to edible oils and potable liquids.

Industries & Applications: Agriculture, Chemical, Food Processing, Water and Wastewater, fire protection NFPA 22 approvable, Potable Water AWWA and NSF 61 approvable, Oil and Gas

Corregated Steel Tanks

Corrugated steel tanks feature engineered, circular corrugations that significantly enhance structural strength. They are widely used across industrial, agricultural, and municipal sectors due to:

  • High strength-to-weight performance — corrugations provide stiffness and resistance to external loads (wind, soil pressure, seismic forces).

  • Economical construction — sheet steel panels are rolled and bolted into place, usually at a lower installed cost than similar capacity welded tanks.

  • Long service life — corrosion-resistant coatings and design options extend operational longevity.

  • Wide range of diameters and capacities — easily custom sized for large volume storage.

These tanks are excellent for potable water, wastewater basins, lagoon covers, and bulk liquid containment applications where durable, cost-efficient storage is required.

API 650 Steel Tanks

API 650 tanks are the industry benchmark for aboveground welded storage of liquids. The American Petroleum Institute (API) sets a uniform standard of material, dimensions, design, and testing for this type shop-fabricated steel tank to ensure the highest quality and durability. They are the most utilized solution for the oil and gas industry for all your atmospheric storage needs.

  • Proven structural integrity — engineered for atmospheric service and a wide range of liquid densities.

  • Designed for code compliance — trusted by engineers and regulators for oil, gas, petrochemical, and industrial liquids.

  • Wide range of sizes and accessories — from modest capacities to large diameter, high-capacity storage.

  • Customizable features — floating roofs, internal coatings, insulation, manways, and fittings per project requirements.

API 650 tanks are ideal for bulk liquid storage in refinery terminals, petrochemical plants, fueling depots, and industrial facilities where long-term reliability and compliance are non-negotiable.

All tanks are manufactured to API 12F specifications with high quality control and assurance standards. We offer 100bbl – 1000bbl capacities with customized options available.

API 12F Steel Tanks

API 12F specifies field-erected, bolted tanks for oil storage — particularly suited to remote, fast-track, or challenging sites. Benefits include:

  • Bolt-together assembly — eliminates need for extensive field welding, accelerating installation and reducing labor costs.

  • Approved for flammable and combustible liquids — designed with safety and containment integrity in mind.

  • Modular and transportable — panels ship efficiently and can be installed in locations with limited access.

  • Proven industry performance — widely used in upstream oil and gas, fuel depots, and temporary storage.

For projects requiring rugged, code- compliant oil storage without the logistics and expense of welded construction, API 12F tanks offer a compelling solution.

UL 142 Steel Tanks

UL 142 steel tanks are factory-assembled or field-erected aboveground tanks certified under UL’s Standard for Steel Aboveground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids. Key benefits include:

  • Third-party safety certification — UL listing provides assurance of performance under fire exposure and other hazard conditions.

  • Designed for fuels and hazardous liquids — suitable for gasoline, diesel, jet fuels, and chemical storage.

  • Robust construction — engineered steel with tested joint integrity and fire-resistant components.

  • Compliance support — helps satisfy insurance and regulatory requirements for hazardous liquid storage.

UL 142 tanks provide peace of mind where regulated fuel storage, safety, and asset protection are paramount.

We provide single walled, double walled, horizontal and vertical options.  Our UL 142 tanks are used commonly on construction sites, farms, ranches, vehicle service centers for durable and economical storage for all hazardous and non-hazardous and flammable and combustible fluids.
